Colleen Safford is one of NYC’s most recognized dog trainers. Colleen’s top notch dog care services and fun, effective ways of teaching families to “live smart” with their dogs has earned her the “Best of NY” title from New York Magazine and Metro City Tails.  As host of The Family Pet on Pet Life Radio, Colleen uses her toddler mom skills to address common child-pet issues, appropriate pet selection, and child-friendly training techniques. Colleen is also the featured trainer in Nylabone’s entire book and DVD series for new dog owners. Colleen’s driving motivation is to keep children & dogs safe and in their homes together.  When not training families and dogs, Colleen receives daily training from her toddlers.  She advocates for rescue and adoption and is proudly owned by her rescued boxer-ish, Luna.
